This chocolate date bark is an easy no-bake treat made with naturally sweet Medjool dates, creamy nut butter, and rich dark chocolate. It’s chewy, chocolatey, and satisfying—perfect for a quick snack, dessert, or post-workout bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Medjool dates pitted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter any nut butter works
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips melted
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts almonds, peanuts, or walnuts
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds optional, for extra protein
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking sheet or small tray with parchment paper.
  • Open each date and place it cut-side down on the parchment. Press gently to flatten and form a tight rectangle.
  • Spoon or spread a layer of the nut butter evenly over the dates.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top, spreading gently with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle with chopped nuts, hemp seeds, and a pinch of flaky salt if using.
  • Place in the freezer for 15–20 minutes, or until firm.
  • Break or slice into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or in the freezer for 1 month.
For the best texture, use soft Medjool dates.
Soy nut butter or peanut butter provides the highest protein.
If your nut butter is very thick, warm it slightly before mixing.
