Did you know fiber contains absolutely NO calorie!?! Fiber-rich foods are essential for maintaining good health, especially as we age. In the gut, fiber feeds beneficial bacteria, promoting a healthy microbiome that supports digestion, immune function, and overall well-being. Fiber also helps control blood sugar levels by slowing sugar absorption, making it useful for managing or preventing type 2 diabetes. Additionally, it lowers bad cholesterol, supporting heart health.
